Christopher Yuan Seminar

Christopher Yuan Seminar
October 28, 2014 Jonathan Cabrera

On November 8 – 9, Christopher Yuan, who has spoken here before, will be back to do some free seminars about his homosexual lifestyle and how God turned his life around. On Saturday, November 8, he will be doing three different seminars while his parents will also be leading a seminar about their experience as his parents. Christopher will also speak on Sunday, November 9 during the worship service at 10:30 am.

Below is a biography of Christopher Yuan and a list of his seminars.

Here is a little bio about Christopher Yuan:

“What many would consider their worst nightmare had become a reality for Christopher Yuan. While attending dental school, he began living promiscuously as a gay man and experimenting with elicit drugs. Within a few years, he was expelled from dental school, imprisoned for drug-dealing and discovered that he was HIV positive.

The co-authored book, Out of a Far Country: A Gay Son’s Journey to God, A Broken Mother’s Search for Hope, is a true account of God seeking and saving two people who were lost (see Luke 19:10): a mother who was so distraught she had decided to kill herself, and a son whose pursuit of pleasure, money, and success led to arrest, prison, and a life-threatening illness. Both mother and son hit rock bottom, and at different times they both turned to God.

But God turned his nightmare into an exciting and inspiring story of redemption, grace and transformation. Christopher has an understanding heart for and a desire to minister to those working through issues of sexuality and to those living with HIV/AIDS. He speaks locally and internationally to youth, on college campuses, in churches and in prisons.

Christopher graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 2005, Wheaton College Graduate school in 2007 with a Master of Arts in Biblical Exegesis and received his doctorate of ministry in 2014 from Bethel Seminary. Dr. Christopher Yuan teaches the Bible at Moody Bible Institute and his speaking ministry on faith and sexuality has reached five continents. He speaks in conferences (such as InterVarsity Urbana and the Moody Pastors’ Conferences and Men’s Conferences), on college campuses and in churches (such as Saddleback Church and Willow Creek Community Church)… and Montvale EFC!”
