Jr. High Student Ministries

Roots

Friday night is our weekly meeting for Jr. High students. Students have fun playing games, hanging out with friends and learning about Christ in a relaxed and friendly environment. Meets from 7:30- 9:30 PM in the Fireside Room.

Roots Plus! Which is when we randomly add 2 extra hours of Fusion fun onto our normal Friday night schedule, we watch movies, go bowling, have a game night etc.

Rock

The Rock Class is for 8th graders to learn more about the theological and historical elements of their faith. This is generally a 10-week commitment beginning in February that takes us on a journey of the Bible and seeks to offer a firm foundation of theological and spiritual conviction. We congratulate the effort given by these students at our graduation service in front of our congregation. If you have questions, please contact the office.

Sunday School

Sunday School meets from 9:15-10:15 AM on Sundays during the Church calendar year (which generally follows the school year). This is our weekly time for Junior and Senior High students to meet in their respective groups and explore some of the deeper aspects of the Christian faith through scripture, group discussion, and multi-media.

Swim and Study

From June to August, we meet at a different house each Wednesday to swim and hear the Word! Come and join us for this great time of fellowship. Dates, times, and directions will be provided. This is for both Jr and Sr High.

Special Events

Monthly activities are planned for the purpose of providing students and their friends with an opportunity to have fun in a positive setting and to get to know others in our group.

Winter Retreat: We have a great time together hearing God’s word from a special speaker, and worshiping together. There are also many other special events and surprises during the weekend.

Summer Trip: Each Summer we pack up and hit the road for week long trip. Working at a children’s camp, attending great youth conferences , and a special mission trip are some of the places we have gone.

Alive: Alive is an annual middle school youth mega conference held at The Ocean City Convention Center and sponsored by Youth for Christ. The Junior High group has been attending this annual conference for many years and it is a staple event in our Junior High Ministries. Each year the conference his packed with top notch speakers and musical acts. Alive normally takes place in late November, keep an eye out for more information on this great event
