Children's Ministries
Our Goal
Children have a special place of honor in God’s Kingdom. Jesus demonstrates this by welcoming children with open arms. Our desire as a church is to demonstrate Jesus’ love for children in tangible and spiritual ways through all of our Children’s Ministries.
Our Example
One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so that He could touch them and bless them, but the disciples told them not to bother Him. But when Jesus saw what was happening, He was very displeased with His disciples. He said to them, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Then He took the children in His arms and placed His hands on their heads and blessed them. (Mark 10:13,14,16)
Special Events
Throughout the year, we have special functions for our children ranging from Veggie-Tales movie nights to seasonal festivals. Stay tuned for announcements concerning these fun, family-geared nights.
Sunday School
A fun and educational time, Sunday School meets from 9:15 – 10:15 AM on Sundays during the school year. All classes are team taught by warm, nurturing teachers. Lessons center around a Bible story and kids are actively taught in the Bible. The curriculum is designed to reach all types of learners and incorporates activities and music along with Bible memorization and review games.

Worship Arts Ministries for Children
Children in grades 2 – 6 are invited to participate in the worship life of our congregation by using the artistic gifts God has given them (in music, drama, and the visual arts). Every other year, a larger children’s theater project is taken on, such as the 2008 production of THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE by C. S. Lewis.
Nursery
We will lovingly care for your infants and toddlers (toddlers up to age 3)during our morning worship service and Sunday School in our team-staffed nurseries.
Vacation Bible School
Our Vacation Bible School is a high-energy 5-day event for our community. It’s held during summer vacation. All five days are filled with fun activities; story time, singing, crafts, games, drama, and great snacks. All children are welcome ages 5 – 11.
King’s Kids
King’s Kids, for children age 4 through 3rd grade, is a time for children to worship and learn about God at their level by incorporating music, drama, puppets, crafts and games. Children are dismissed from Worship Service after the offering and escorted downstairs by a team of teachers to room 111 or 112. Children are brought back upstairs into the Worship service during the ending song. King’s Kids runs all year long.
