Children
Our Goal Children have a special place of honor in God’s Kingdom. Jesus demonstrates this by welcoming children with open arms. Our desire as a church is to demonstrate Jesus’ love for children in tangible and spiritual ways through all of our Children’s Ministries. Our Vision We will purposefully partner with parents to reflect Christ’s love to the families of our community so that they may accept Him, grow in Him, and serve Him joyfully. Our Example One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so that He could touch them and bless them, but the disciples told them not to bother Him. But when Jesus saw what was happening, He was very displeased with His disciples. He said to them, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Then He took the children in His arms and placed His hands on their heads and blessed them. Mark 10:13,14,16 Special Events Throughout the year, we have special functions for our children ranging from Veggie-Tales movie nights to seasonal festivals. Stay tuned for announcments concerning these fun, family-geared nights. Sunday School A fun and educational time, Sunday School meets…
Men
Camp Spofford Men’s Fall Retreat Men from the Free Church gather together in a camp setting to reflect on what God has been doing in their lives. A time of renewal, awakening, and rededicating our lives. Fellowship Dinners This is an opportunity to meet in homes for fellowship, fun and food. MEFC Workdays Occasional days set aside throughout the year to do the many chores needed to keep our church neat and clean. Special Projects An opportunity for us to use our God-given gifts and reach out to the needs of others in our church or in our community. Elders The Elders are an elected group of men who seek to serve as spiritual leaders of the church. They care for the congregation, especially in times of spiritual crisis, providing a ministry in such areas as prayer, Godly counsel, and instruction. Deacons The Deacons are an elected group of men who seek to minister to the spiritual and physical needs of the entire church Body. They welcome the support of all men in the congregation in the area of visitation and help with emergency needs as they arise.

Worship
“Worship is more than ‘worship time’. It’s more than the best song sets. It’s everything we do, say, feel, hear, give, touch and see in God’s presence, the entire time we are together, and it’s about what we take with us out into the world beyond the walls… If we access God through all our bodies then worship is not just about singing. It’s about everything.” Sally Morgenthaler, (taken from her column, “Culture Watch,”in the March/April 2005 edition of Worship Leader Magazine) Worship Arts Ministry Vision Statement “To create a worship environment where one can freely fellowship with Jesus Christ and those present, through the Word, prayer, and the arts.” We desire to promote corporate worship through: •Preaching •Music •Silence •Celebration •Public Reading of Scripture •Prayer •Drama •Visual Arts •Communion and Baptism Worship Teams & Praise Bands Music in our blended worship service is typically led by a team of singers and instrumentalists. Ensembles vary from week to week. Band rehearsals are held Tuesday nights from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Other rehearsals are scheduled as needed. Each worship team meets on Sunday morning at least one hour before the service begins for a sound check and a complete run…
